Avis was born and raised in the horse industry. She grew up on her parents' saddlebred farm, Timber Hills Farm. Avis has enjoyed a lifelong passion for horses and has shown saddlebreds, hackney ponies, morgans, and arabians in a variety of disciplines. She is proud to be a part of the IHSA and looks forward to its continued support of the Iowa horse industry's camaraderie and success.

In 1983, Fay was introduced to the beautiful American Saddlebred and the wonderful world of showing by close friend and neighbor, Judy Steenhoek. She has owned several Saddlebreds and won many awards with them. Fay has served on the IHSA board for the last 26 years, in addition to contributing to the Iowa Saddlebred industry on many other boards and associations.

Tancy has been involved with the Saddlebred industry and the world of horse shows from the time she could sit on a pony, a passion she inherited from her dad and passed along to her daughter. She also is a partner in an insurance agency that specializes in equine insurance.  Tancy hopes to contribute to keeping Iowa horse shows strong and vibrant through the IHSA’s efforts.
